Solicitation of Textbook Proposals
in Line with International Curriculum for Chinese Language Education    


To meet the need for textbooks among the Chinese language teachers and learners, the Office of Chinese Language Council International (OCLCI hereinafter) is considering a project to compile textbooks in line with International Curriculum for Chinese Language Education (ICCLE hereinafter). With a view to pooling domestic and international resources, wisdom and experience in Chinese language teaching, the OCLCI sincerely invites international textbook project proposals. The details are as follows:   

I.  The Objective: To provide quality Chinese teaching resources and improve global Chinese pedagogy.    
II. Target Readers: International Chinese learners without Chinese background including K-12 students, non-residential learners, and Confucius institute students.   

III. Requirements for the Prospective Textbooks：Follow the principles specified in the ICCLE. Draw on international Chinese teaching experience. Differentiate the varying needs of the learners at different levels. Select authentic language materials. Combine language, theme and culture naturally. Embody the concept of resource pooling strategy. Make full use of all resources like multimedia. Be user-friendly in non-native community or family tutorials.    

IV. Style of the Textbook: International, Innovative, Multi-media   

V. Layout of the Textbook: Flexible in the layout as long as it is in conformity with the ICCLE requirements for the five different levels.   

VI. Proposal Submission: Your proposal in Word, PDF or PPT format is expected from June 15 to August 15.
